Natalie Scenters-Zapico is from the sister cities of El Paso, Texas, US and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. She earned a BA from University of Texas at El Paso and an MFA in poetry from the University of New Mexico. Scenters-Zapico has taught at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, Westminster College, the University of Texas at El Paso, and elsewhere.
